How long do your sessions last?

Session length can be tailored to meet your needs. Most topics can be done as one to four hour sessions and a few are meaty enough to spend a whole day exploring. We can also combine topics for whole day events. Let us know what you want and we can work together to make it work.

How far in advance do we need to book you?

The more lead time the better. There have been instances when we have scheduled presentations over a year in advance and other times when things are scheduled less than a month in advance. Events are scheduled on a first come first booked basis, so if there is a specific date you want it is better to schedule sooner than later. We can also pencil in dates while you are planning your event and put them in ink as you finalize details.

Can we cancel in case of an "act of God"?

Sometimes things come up and sessions have to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. If a session is canceled and rescheduled within six months of the original date, there will be no cancellation charge. If the cancellation happens six months or more before the event, and is not rescheduled the fee will be 25% of the contract agreement. If the cancellation occurs less than six months before the event, and is not rescheduled, there will be a 50% cancellation charge.

How many participants can you accommodate?

We can work with as many or as few attendees as your venue will comfortable accommodate. I have done presentations for groups ranging in size from 10 to 1,200 people

Are your sessions any good?

We sure think so and have had a lot of great feedback from providers. If you would like references you can check with, we would be happy to provide some names and contact information ( explorations@cableone.net) .

How do I book a training?

Contact us at explorations@cableone.net. We can discuss your needs, our fees and expenses, and set a date. Once we have finalized the details, we will put together a contract so that everyone understands what is expected of them. We are eager to help make your event a successful, engaging, and fun learning experience.

Can you do a book signing and vending?

Of course. We are always eager to sign books and share the early learning items we have developed to help providers do their jobs better. We can discuss the many options for book signings and vending when we book your training.

How do you handle expenses?

All expenses will be outlined in the contract we put together for the engagement. The details will very based on the size and scope of the event. We will hammer out an agreement that works for everyone involved.

What can you do to help publicize our event?

When we book your event we can discuss this in detail, but some things we can do include posting the event and a link to more information on this website, providing biographical and session information for your promotional materials, and doing interviews with your local media concerning the event.

Do you need any special audio visual equipment?

In most situations, we will only need a screen large enough to accommodate your group to display a PowerPoint presentation. If the room's acoustics or size warrant use of a sound system, a good quality system (preferably with a wireless lapel microphone) will be required.

What about room arrangement?

Different topics require different set ups, but we are pretty flexible and can make most setups work. The biggest concern is that the attendees are comfortable and not crammed into the room like sardines. It is also best to have the available seating match the number of attendees. For example, if the presentation will take place in a huge room with a medium sized group of participants, we request that extra seating in the rear of the room be roped off so that those in attendance are forced into a more intimate seating arrangement.
